Ishpeming- James M. Thibeault, age 72 of 38352 Co. Rd. 581 Ishpeming (Ely Twp) passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 at his home.

James was born January 30, 1945 in Detroit, MI the son of the late Morris and Laverne (LeGault) Thibeault. He attended National Mine School and received a criminal justice certificate from N.M.U. He married Jayne Uitto on July 30, 1966. Jim served in the Michigan National Guard from 1966-1972.

He owned and operated Tebo's Bar in Ishpeming for 17 years along with fixing and painting cars in his garage. Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandsons. He played  in the Ishpeming cribbage and pool leagues. He loved watching baseball and softball and he was never to be interrupted while watching TV-6 News. Jim adored his great grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his wife Jayne Thibeault, 2 daughters: Kathy (Kevin) Hemmila of L'Anse, Sheri Sirtola of Ishpeming, grandchildren: Tyler (Katy Johnson) Hemmila of Ishpeming, Tony (Brittany Bianco) Hemmila of L'Anse, Tucker Hemmila of L'Anse, Tanner and Tessa Sirtola of Ishpeming, great grandchildren: Autumn, Hunter and Kyler Hemmila, 4 sisters: Patricia Manley of Ishpeming, Barb Turino of Farmington, MN, Bonnie (David) Morcom, Carol Johnson, 5 brothers: Robert (Rita) Thibeault, Richard (Sue) Thibeault, Dennis (Ruth) Thibeault, Gary (Becky) Thibeault and David (Shelly) Thibeault all of Ishpeming, a sister in law Kathy Thibeault of Ishpeming along with many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Morris and Laverne, a brother Ronald "Bone" Thibeault and a niece Danielle Thibeault.

Jim's family will greet relatives and friends from 2:00-5:00 pm on Monday April 24, 2017 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home where a memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm with Rev. Lauri O. Maki officiating.

A potluck luncheon will follow the service at the Ishpeming ELKS Lodge.
