Obituary

Ishpeming - James L. "Perky" Nault, age 86, of Green Creek Location Ishpeming passed away Monday, November 23, 2020, at his home.

James was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on July 10, 1934, a son of the late Fred and Eva (DeCaire) Nault. Perky served in the Army National Guard. He worked at the Humboldt Mine, owned his own business Perky's Excavating, worked for Holli Logging, and Marquette County Road Commission for 36 years.

Perky loved to go to auctions with his grandson, tinker with and drive his tractor, fix things, in his own way of course, and was always there to lend a helping hand.

Perky will be missed by his family and many friends, especially his daily coffee clutchers and his Wednesday evening crew.

Perky is  survived by a son Dennis (Peggy) Nault of Germantown, WI, 2 daughters, Diane Nault of Ishpeming and Renae (Michael) Carlson of Negaunee, grandchildren Christy and Molly Nault, Nicole and William Carlson, a sister Donna (Jerry) LeSage of Ishpeming along with many nieces and nephews.

Perky was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Jamie Nault, sisters: Helen Johnson, Florence Marietti, Bernice Meeks, Dorothy Coron, Marie Surrell, brothers, Harry and Albert Nault

Honoring Perky's request there will be no public service.
