Ishpeming, MI - Jack J. Young, age 22, of 823 N. Main St. Ishpeming, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit surrounded by family.

Jack was born in Ishpeming on September 3, 2000, a son of the late Ellen M. (Flynn) and Jeffrey J. Young. He grew up in Ishpeming, graduating from the Ishpeming High School, Class of 2019. Jack enjoyed video gaming online where he had many friends throughout the country. He was known by family to be a foodie and could cook a steak perfect every time. He was a grill master and loved spending time around the dinner table with his family. Jack had a sense for fashion and his shoe collection was extensive. He had an amazing sense of humor and could always get you with his one liners that would leave you crying with laughter. Jack's smile could light up any room.

Survivors include his father Jeffrey Young of Ishpeming, sister, Jessica M. Young (Justin Harju) of Ishpeming, aunts and uncles - Robert Flynn (Sandy), Julie Valela (Fran), Kevin Flynn, Mary Aho (Jeff), Jenifer Flynn, Cheryl Fleury (Tom), Michael Young (Charlene), along with numerous cousins. Jack was preceded in death by his mother Ellen Young on July 16, 2022, grandparents Robert and Delyte (Heikkinen) Flynn, John and Arlene Young, uncle Patrick Flynn.

The family will greet relatives and friends to remember Jack and celebrate his life from 3:00pm until 4:30pm on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home. Starting at 4:00pm there will be a sharing of memories in his honor. Following the sharing of memories all are invited to the Wawononwin Country Club to continue celebrating Jack's life.
