Ishpeming-Jack Bernard Arnold, age 79, of 1067 Riverview Dr. Ishpeming, passed away, Tuesday, April 21st, 2009 at Bell Hospital.
Jack was born in Fresno, CA on November 2, 1929, the son of the late Nelse and Pearl (Bernard) Arnold. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Jack received his bachelor's degree and his master's degree from the University of Southern California and did graduate work at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and the Rotary Club. Jack served as the City Manager for the City of Ishpeming during 1980 until 1984. He enjoyed reading, traveling and going out for meals.
Jack is survived by his wife Diane (Thompson) Arnold of Ishpeming, two sons: Robert Arnold of Negaunee, James Arnold of Clinton, TN,6 grandchildren: Vicky, James and Frankie Arnold all of Kalispell, MT, Hannah Arnold of Knoxville, TN, Caleb and Luke Arnold of Clinton, TN, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his twin brother James Arnold.
Graveside Service will be held at the Ishpeming Cemetery at 1:00pm on Friday, May 1st, 2009 with Rev. James Robb officiating.
