Irma D. Wuorenmaa, 87, passed away on Friday, May 09, 2008 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home in Fond du Lac, WI where she resided since January of this year.

Irma was born on March 31, 1921 in Republic MI, a daughter to Solomon and Mary (Palo) Koski. She was a graduate of Republic High School.
On September 22, 1940 she was join in marriage with Walter Wuorenmaa at Bethany Lutheran Church in Republic. She was a lifelong resident of Republic until moving to Fond du Lac to be closer to her daughter.

Irma was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. After the death of her husband, Walter, her great grandchildren were the love of her life.

She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia J. Brajdic of Fond du Lac WI; three grand children, Angela (Christopher) Ryan of Fond du Lac WI, Michael (fiancée Tiffany Richardson) of Sheboygan WI and Benjamin Brajdic of Prescott AZ; two great granddaughters, Laurel Rose and Morgan Rae of Fond du Lac WI; four sisters, Irene Garrity and Helga Imburgia of Spring Hill FL, Elna Warren of Marquette MI and Ruth Hall of Forest Grove OR.
She is further survived by two sisters-in-law, Esther Robinson and Elizabeth (Frank) Buytaert of Ishpeming MI and one brother-in-law, Paul (Audrey) Wuorenmaa of Ishpeming MI.

Preceding Irma in death are her parents, husband, one brother George, four sisters Sylvia Kujala, Sigrid Peterson, Elsie Sirvio and Norma Bonnett.

A funeral service will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church in Republic on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 12:00noon with Rev. Katherine Finegan officiating. Irma's family will great friends and relatives from 11:00AM until the time of services at noon. A luncheon will follow the services and interment will take place at Republic Twp. Cemetery.
