Ishpeming- Iria Aliina Luoma, age 96 a resident of Lost Creek in Marquette for the past 5 years passed away Saturday, April 02, 2011 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming where she been a resident since December 2010.

Iria was born May 6, 1914 to Frank and Anna (Pellikaa) Kujala in Ironwood Township. She married Jacob Luoma on May 11, 1935 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church by Rev. Hirvi. Iria was a member of Sharon Lutheran Church of Bessemer.

Iria is survived by her sister: Minnie Synkelma of Ironwood, sons: Frans (Vickie) Luoma of Otisville, MI and Gary (Lynn) Luoma of Negaunee: 4 grandchildren: Leeann (Kevin) O'Brien, Richard Luoma, Tristan (Jeff) Palomaki, Bethany (Matt) Cody, step grandson Matt Chapin, step granddaughter Sarah (Scott) Larson, great grandchildren: Savannah Luoma, Emilia, Easton and Halle Palomaki, Eli Cody, Sophia & Evan Larson, along with several nieces, nephews and many friends. Iria was preceded in death by her parents and husband Jacob on November 27, 1993.

She will be greatly missed, always loved and remembered forever.
