Ishpeming- Ingrid A. Bickers, age 100 formerly of 111 Bluff St. Ishpeming, passed away Monday, March 1, 2010 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility where she been a resident for the past 3 years
Ingrid was born May 9, 1909 in National Mine to Gust & Fannie (Nuorala) Keto. She was honorably discharged from the Army Air Corp as a photographer in 1944. She was employed by the H.W. Gossard Company as a seamstress and later became a department head and was employed for 35 years by the company.
Ingrid was a life time member of the Ishpeming V.F.W. Auxiliary and also a member of the Faith Lutheran Church.
Ingrid is survived by a son Erland (Mary) Bickers of Michigamme, step son Jeff (Peggy) Bickers of Ohio, 2 brothers: Roland (Marion) Keto of Ishpeming and Warren Keto of Ishpeming, a sister in law Elaine Keto of Gwinn, brother in law Irwin (Marge) Savala of National Mine, 3 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Ingrid was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 6 sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held 1:00PM Thursday at Northland Chapel Gardens in Negaunee Township with Rev. Kenneth Lahners officiating. Inurnment will take place at Northland Chapel Gardens in the spring.
