Obituary

Ishpeming- Henry "Hessy" Chynoweth, age 92 of Ishpeming went to Eternal Rest on Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Mather Nursing Center.

Henry was born in South Kearsarge, MI to the late Richard & Ethel (Mundy) Chynoweth. Hessy lived in Ahmeek for most of his life; he worked in the CC Camps in the 1930's and worked for C&H in the Copper Mines until they closed. He then moved to Ishpeming in the early 1970's and worked for CCI at the Mather B and Tilden Mines until retiring in 1981.

Henry loved fishing with his wife, working on cars and watching the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed his dog "Blacky" and liked taking rides out to the country. Henry was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Ishpeming.

Henry is survived by his wife of 32 years, Evelyn (Arpiainen) Chynoweth, 3 daughters: Faye Harrison of Florida, Gloria Piotrowski of Florida, and Sharon (Mike) Krajnak of Ishpeming, stepsons Dennis (Blanche) Champion of Ishpeming and Doug (Lahna) Champion of Maryland, 16 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nephews: Alvin (Claire) Turnquist of Ahmeek and Jimmy Turnquist of Detroit, son in law Russell Waara of Ahmeek. Henry was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Emily, 1st wife Rose, daughters: Carol Lynn Chynoweth and Marilyn Waara, grandson Bradley Waara, sister Ethel Turnquist, son in law Leonard Piotrowski, and stepdaughter Phyllis Salo.

Honoring Henry's request there will be no services.
