Negaunee- Helen Lillian Garceau, age 81, formerly of 306 W. Clark St, Negaunee, passed away on Wednesday morning, July 30, 2008 at the Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming Twp.

Helen was born the daughter of the late Francis and Hilma (Binola) Linna in Ishpeming. She was a graduate of Ishpeming High School and a life long area resident. Helen worked at the Bell Hospital for 16 years, retiring in 1986 as a surgical technician. She was a member of the Negaunee VFW, enjoyed crossword puzzles, socializing with family and friends and watching golf, especially Tiger Woods. Helen was also an avid Packer fan.

Survivors include a daughter Frances (Gerald) Roberts of Ishpeming, a sister: Bertha Lyyski a resident at Mather Nursing Center, 3 grandchildren: Tracy (Clint) Koski of Ishpeming, Nick (Michelle) Roberts of Ishpeming, Jamiee (Chad) Dobson of Washington state, 3 great grandchildren: Chris & Hannah Koski and Orion Dobson, along with several nieces and nephews. Helen is preceded in death by her husband John Garceau,
a daughter Barbara Hallum and a brother John Linna.

There will be no funeral services at this time.
