Obituary
Ishpeming – Helen L. Burek, age 93, of 715 Vine St., Ishpeming passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012 in the Emergency Room at Bell Hospital.
Helen was born August 4, 1918 in Pequaming, MI the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Hanner) Sanregret and was a graduate of the L'Anse High School. She resided in Chicago, IL during her working years. She moved to Ishpeming in 1982 and has resided here since.
Helen was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She enjoyed family outings and trips to the casino.
Survivors include a sister Lillian Bianco of Ishpeming, along with numerous nieces and nephews including John "Jack" & Ruth Bianco and Tom & Emily Bianco all of Ishpeming. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank J. Burek in 1982.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 6:00pm on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Greg Heikkala to officiate. The family will greet relatives and friends from 5 – 6pm on Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church.
A luncheon will follow the services in the hall at the St. Joseph Catholic Church
.
Interment will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery in L'Anse.
