Ishpeming – Harry W. Manier Jr., age 52, of 712 Spring St., Ishpeming passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at UP Health System Marquette while under the loving care of family and the Upper Peninsula Home Health and Hospice following a courageous battle with cancer.

Harry was born September 1, 1963 in Escanaba, MI the son of the late Harry W. Sr and Irene L. (Goin) Manier. His family moved to Champion, MI when Harry was an infant, where he was raised. He attended the Champion School and later attended Northern Michigan University for a few years. Harry had worked at Marquette General Hospital for 12 years as a Technician in the Adult Psychiatric Unit, going on disability in July of 2012 due to his cancer.

Harry was a member of the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Ishpeming. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and reading, along with the outdoors which included family picnics, bike riding and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Suzanne M. Manier of Ishpeming; 2 brothers – Danny (Kathy) Manier of Humboldt and Duane (Lori) Manier of Norway; 3 sisters – Dianne (Wayne) Kangas of Kingsford, Debbie Nurmela of Three Lakes and Jackie (Ron) Skytta of Michigamme; several nieces and nephews including a special niece Jessica (Dennis) Jandreau of Ishpeming. Harry was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers David Manier and Billy Elleby.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 1:00 – 2:00pm on Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Ishpeming. A memorial service will follow at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Ishpeming with Jerome Anderson to officiate. A luncheon will follow at the Tilden Twp. Hall.

Harry's family wishes to thank Nancy Misale, Karen Carlson, Jerome and Toni Anderson and other friends of the congregation for their love and support during his illness.
