Ishpeming – Grace A. Maddock, age 72, of 200 Saginaw St., Ishpeming passed away on Friday November 23, 2012 at the Marquette Co. Medical Care Facility where she had been a resident for several years.


Grace was born June 9, 1940 in Ishpeming, MI the daughter of the late Phillip and Ruby (LaMarche) Frustaglio and was a lifelong Ishpeming resident. Grace worked for many years as a cook and manager of the Mather Inn, the Airport Restaurant, Johnny's Restaurant and Osty's. Not one to be told she could not do something; Grace took to flying and received her Pilots License. She also studied and became a local food inspector. Grace enjoyed passing her time by playing Bingo or with a trip to the Casino.


Survivors include 3 children – Paul (Brenda) Maddock, Roxanna (Gregg) Anderson and Kenneth (Carol) Maddock all of Ishpeming, 3 sisters – Alice LaForge of Negaunee, Bernie (Bill) Heavyside of Ishpeming and Christine (Jim) McCormick of Republic, a brother Phil (Heather) Frustaglio of Ishpeming, 4 grandchildren 0 Mindy, Matt, Alyssa and Markus Maddock, 2 great grandchildren – Jocalyn and Cabela Maddock, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Maddock in 1981.


A private memorial service will be held at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming. Inurnment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Marquette Co. Medical Care Facility, who became Grace's second family, for their kind and compassionate care.
