Ishpeming – Gladys M. LeBoeuf, age 92, longtime Ishpeming resident passed from this life Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming Twp. She had resided there since May 24, 2014. Surely she is back in the arms of her beloved husband Paul who has been waiting for her for three years.
Gladys was born in Negaunee on October 28, 1921 to Charles & Esther (Eddy) Roseveare. She was the youngest of twelve children. She graduated from Negaunee High School and enjoyed planning reunions on the alumni staff.
On January 15, 1941 she married Paul and they made their home in Ishpeming. She was a life-long member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.
Playing cribbage at the Negaunee Senior Center and Ishpeming High Rise where she took care of all the stats & scores was the entertainment they loved. They'd brag about winning $1.50 or $2.00. Travel in their later years with Debbie Tours seeing Hawaii twice, Europe and 38 U.S. Trips kept them busy.
Gladys is survived by her sister Beatrice Zimmerman of Flint, MI, two daughters, Pauline (Ronald) Murphy of Midland, MI and Sandra (Edward) Ogea of Ishpeming, four grandchildren: Michael (Lori) Murphy of Midland, Kurt (Ann) Schultz of Champion, Amy (Dave) Bond of Negaunee and Sterling (Nora) Schultz of Negaunee, five great grandchildren, a brother in law Roy LeBoeuf of Ishpeming along with several nieces and nephews. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of seventy years Paul, ten siblings: Edward, Bill, Russell, Francis, Alberta, Emeline, Laura, Violet, Clara, and Dorthy, two grandchildren Charles and Tammy Murphy. She has a lot of family to greet her in this last journey.
