Obituary
Tilden Twp. - Gerald "Jerry" K. Roberts, age 61 of 555 Co. Rd. PDD Ishpeming, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010 at the Bell Hospital in Ishpeming.
Gerald was born September 28, 1948 in Ishpeming to the late Marvin and Doris (Johnson) Roberts. Jerry graduated from National Mine High School, class of 1966. He worked as a union carpenter for Gundlach Champion Construction Company for many years retiring in 2000.
Jerry was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 1510 and was the manger of the Tilden Twp Club. He enjoyed playing cards, cribbage and poker, was an avid Detroit Lions fan and always cherished his time spent with his family.
Jerry is survived by his wife Fran (Garceau) Roberts, whom he married November 11, 1968, 2 children: Tracy (Clint) Koski of National Mine and Nick Roberts of Negaunee, 2 grandchildren: Christopher and Hannah Koski, 2 sisters: Janet Roberts and Linda Roberts both of Ishpeming, 2 brothers Lee Roberts of Negaunee and James Roberts of Detroit, a special niece Jaimee Dobson of Washington along with numerous other nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in by his father Marvin Roberts, mother Doris Nardi and a brother Mike Roberts.
Per Jerry's request there will be no services or visitation.
