Ishpeming – George David Rudness, age 52, of 106 Arch St. Ishpeming, passed away on Sunday Aug. 31, 2008 at the Marquette General Hospital following an apparent heart attack.

George was born October 22, 1955 in Ishpeming to George & Winifred (Trebilcock) Rudness. George graduated from Ishpeming High School, class of 1973, attended the University of Michigan for 1 year, and received a Bachelors of Science degree from Northern Michigan University.

George was a member of the Ishpeming Pool League and Cribbage League, an avid Packer, Piston and University of Michigan Fan. He never missed watching the game show Jeopardy, which he was an expert at. George enjoyed reading, taking saunas and had a love for music and animals. George was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

George is survived by his fiancée Vickie Austin of Ishpeming, 3 sisters: Judith (Kevin) Reilly of Marquette, Linda (William) Isaacson of Fraser, MI and Ann (Pete) Nault of Ishpeming, a brother John Rudness of Winchester, TN, an aunt Mary Trebilcock of Ishpeming along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. George was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Andy Nault.

Funeral services will be held 2:00p.m. Friday, September 5, 2008 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Lindenberg officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.

Friends may call the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home on Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00p.m.
