Ishpeming- George Fredrickson, 75, of Stoneville Road, passed away after battling lung cancer on November 27, 2021 surrounded by his family and UP Home Health and Hospice.

George was born in Duluth, MN on September 3, 1946 to the late Roy and Harriett (Larmour) Fredrickson. In 1968 he served in Vietnam with the United States Army. George moved to the U.P. in January of 1975 and never left. He worked for Cliffs, retiring after 34 years from the Tilden Mine as a plant repairman.

Surviving are his daughters- Audrey (Levi) Puuri of Harvey, Holly (Tony) Slawinski of Suomi Location, son- Boone of Ishpeming, brother- John (Corrine) of Minnesota, and his grandchildren- Hannah, Riley, Michael, Noah, and Katie. He is also survived by his longtime friend- Robert Rowe, and special friend- Kathy Gummerson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Amy.

Per George's request, there will be a small family service.
