Ishpeming – George Chapman, age 59, of 160 Hillcrest passed away Thursday, August 28, 2008 at the Hillcrest Home in Ishpeming under the care of U.P. Home Health and Hospice.

George was born on March 12, 1949 to the late Sidney and Ruth (Flath) Chapman in Ishpeming. He was a life long area resident and had attended Birchview Elementary School.

George is survived by two brothers: Anthony Chapman and Robert Chapman both of Marquette, 2 nieces: Jennifer L White of Vacaville, California, Elizabeth M.(Eddie) Clements of Anchorage, Alaska, a nephew: Keith A. Chapman of Ann Arbor, and great nieces and nephews: Israel and Isabelle White, Eddie Jr., Eva Marie, Abrum A. Clements, and Landon Chapman. George is preceded in death by a sister-in-law: Rhonda C. Chapman.

Private funeral services will be held at Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Lindenberg officiating. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
