Gary L. Erickson, age 67 of Marquette, Michigan passed away June 14, 2009 at Marquette General Hospital surrounded by family, friends and Lake Superior Hospice.

Gary was born in Escanaba, Michigan to Ernest & Elsie Erickson, but was raised in Marquette where he was a life
long resident. On October 14, 1961 he married the former Barbara Dagenais at the St. Peters Cathedral in Marquette. His former best man, Paul Dagenais, recently passed away.

Gary had been mainly employed by Public Service Garage in Marquette and also worked for The Michigan Dept. of Management and Budget Motor Transport Division as an Auto Mechanic working both in Marquette and Lansing, Michigan.

He was a devoted hunter & NASCAR fan. He enjoyed having family over and sharing his camp with his many friends. He pitched fast ball for the Keg League for 30+ years. He also enjoyed golfing.

Gary was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherri, his parents & brother-in-laws, Jerry Friend and Keith (Karen) Marceau.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, three daughters, Geraldine of Mqt., Thresa (Jim) Brady of Battle Creek, Chris (Terry) Denessen of Gwinn and one son Gary (Anna) of Skandia, a sister, Karen Friend of Tekonsha, all of Michigan, also grandchildren, JennaLee, Erika, Frankie, Steven, Danielle, Joe, Andrew, Trevor and Anthony and great granddaughter, Sierra.

There will not be a visitation or service. A celebration of his life will be held at a later time. A cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the family.
