Ishpeming- Gary B. "Goose" Connors, age 63, longtime area resident, passed away unexpectedly on Monday November 20, 2023 at UP Health System Marquette with his loving family by his side.

Gary was born in West Allis, WI on June 21, 1960, son of the late Thomas and Sharon (Hendrickson) Connors. He attended Westwood High School and graduated with the class of 1978. Gary spent many years managing the gas station at Jubilee in Ishpeming, and managed the grounds at Indiana University where he recently retired from.

Gary married his wife Jill on December 22, 2014. In his younger years he enjoyed playing in softball and horseshoe leagues. He was a true outdoorsman, loving to spend time hunting and fishing. Gary enjoyed woodworking, was a handyman, and was a diehard Michigan fan.

Gary is survived by his wife- Jill Nault Connors, son- David (Nicole) Kugler, 2 step sons- Ethan and Liv Nault, 2 sisters- Kirsten (Vince) Vilona, Karen (Dave Niemela) Taras, sister-in-law- Jolene (Kurt Fosburg) Garceau, father and mother-in-law- Harlen and Einona Heikkila, granddaughters- Madison, Ellie, and baby Audrey who is on the way. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

Gary's family will greet relatives and friends at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Friday November 24, 2023 from 11:00am until 12:30pm. A memorial service will be held at 12:30pm with Bishop Emeritus Tom Skrenes as officiant. A luncheon will follow in the church hall.
