Michigamme- Frederick C. "Fritz" Alward, age 69, longtime Michigamme area resident, passed away on Monday January 17, 2022 at UP Health System Marquette.

Fritz was born in Traverse City, MI on January 9, 1953, son of the late Charles and Viola (Stott) Alward. He moved to the Michigamme area at the age of 19 and has resided there ever since.

Fritz loved his cats, playing cribbage, and going fishing.

Fritz is survived by several cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother- Glenn Alward.

Following Fritz's wishes, cremation will take place with no public services.
