Ishpeming- Fred "Tim" Scarborough, age 44 of 138 high Excelsior St. Ishpeming, passed away Wednesday, November 16, at the Marquette General Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Tim was born June 27, 1967 at K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base to Fred T. & Ruth (Bunce) Scarborough. Tim was a graduate of Ishpeming High School, class of 1985. He served his country in the US Navy during the Gulf War. Tim also attended University of Central Florida where he received an associate degree in computer aided design.
Tim had a wonderful collection of model cars and football collecting cards. He enjoyed fishing, restoring cars, especially camaro's. Tim was an excellent artist. He was an avid Packer and Red Wing fan. Tim was very patriotic; he was a history buff of the US Navy and World War II. Tim was a member of the AMVETS.
Tim is survived by is mother Ruth Scarborough of Ishpeming, a brother Michael Scarborough of Ishpeming, a nephew Joshua Scarborough of Nebraska and a nieces Joan Johnson serving in the US Air Force in Ohio, his step mother Hazel Scarborough of Kingsport, TN, aunts and uncles: Barbara (Don) Feltus of MN, Arthur Bunce of St. Paul, MN, Cecelia "Cece" (Dennis) Korpi, Susan (Joe) Youren, Randy "Bunko" Bunce, Clement (Mary) Bunce, Richard (Carol) Bunce all of Ishpeming, Ken Scarborough along with several cousins. Tim was preceded in death by his father Fred Scarborough, his sister Ann Marie Scarborough, Uncles William Bunce, Ted & Russell Scarborough and an Aunt Georgia
A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Monday, November 21st at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming with Rev. Lauri O. Maki officiating.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home on Monday from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am.
The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 380 will conduct Military Honors at the conclusion of the memorial service.
