Ishpeming, MI-Frank Allison Bell, II, 82, longtime Ishpeming resident passed away on Wednesday, September 2nd, at UP Health System Marquette from complications after surgery.
Frank was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on January 8, 1938, a son of the late Virginia H. (VanDeventer) and Francis Allison Bell.
He grew up in Ishpeming and graduated from Negaunee High School with the class of 1957. After high school he enlisted in the Army for two years serving as a Corporal stationed in Korea. He then attended Northern Michigan University where he met and married Nancy Kaltenbach.
He worked in sales throughout his life and owned and operated Bell Printing Services for many years.
He was an avid outdoorsman and an active member of Conibear Hunting Camp which he shared with his son and grandsons. He also enjoyed many years living on the Dead River Basin.
He was a humble man and didn't brag about his military service, but attending the 2019 UP Honor Flight was a memorable highlight for him.
Frank is survived by his wife Nancy of 59 1/2 years.

Francine (Dave) Kooistra, of Rochester, MN;
Christine (Terry) Painter, of Rochester, MN;
Nannette Bell, of Chicago, IL.
Son,Frank (Nicole) Bell III, of Combined Locks, WI;
He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Nanci Bell La Roi and Marian Copeland Stewart, and a brother Joseph Copeland.
As he requested, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held.
In lieu of flowers donations memorial donations may be made out to the Bell Auxiliary.
