Obituary
Ishpeming- Frances M. Slaughter, age 82, of 111 Bluff St. in Ishpeming, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at the Mather Nursing Center where she has been a resident for the past month.
Frances was born December 27, 1925 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Wilber and Eleanor (Bassett) Lape. She has been a resident of the Ishpeming area for the past fifteen years. Frances enjoyed cooking and served as the head chef for the Ramada Inn in Mackinaw City and at the Fireside in Manistique for many years.
Frances is survived by a son Tony R. (Julie) Marin of Ishpeming, 3 grandchildren: Lisa Marin, Joseph Anderson and Jason Glidden and several great grandchildren.
There will be no services at this time. Inurnment will take place in Manistique this spring.
