National Mine- Florence "Babe" Dobson, age 84 of 4220 Co. Rd. 476 National Mine (Ishpeming) passed away Monday January 7, 2008 at the Bell Hospital following a brief illness.

Babe was born December 8, 1923 in National Mine to John & Elsa (Baslo) Kuisti. Babe graduated from National Mine High School and later worked as a teachers aide for the NICE School District at the National Mine School. Babe enjoyed knitting and reading. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church

Babe is survived by 3 children: Lee Dobson of National Mine, Kay (Al) Sibert of Ishpeming and Jamie (Kenna) Dobson of Ishpeming, 3 grandchildren: James Sibert of Pueblo, CO, Luke Dobson of Marquette and Brad Dobson of Gilbert, AZ, along with numerous nieces & nephews. Babe was preceded in death by her husband Douglas, 2 brothers and 7 sisters.

A memorial service will be held 6:00pm Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with Rev. Lauri O. Maki officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery. The family will greet friends and relatives on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4:00pm until the time of service at 6:00pm

A luncheon will be held at the Faith Lutheran Church, Co. Rd. 581 south of Ishpeming following the service.
