Ishpeming- Ethan Robert Cowling, 6 years of age went home to be with the Lord on Sunday August 28, 2016 at his home at 1163 S. Pine St. in Ishpeming.

Ethan was born on October 22, 2009 in Marquette to Michael P. & Elisa L. (Pittsley) Cowling. Ethan was a loving little boy that we were blessed to have in our lives for 6 ½ years. He brought smiles to everyone he met.

Ethan is survived by his parents Michael & Elisa Cowling, a brother Elijah Cowling, paternal grandparents Mike & Vicky Cowling, maternal grandparents, William & Rebecca Prisk, maternal great grandparents Norman & Sherry Pittsley, & William & JoAnn Prisk, maternal great great grandma Betty Croshere, aunts & uncles: Katie Ogea and her son Chay, Tina Rivord, Josiah (Samantha) Cowling, Cassandra (Mike) Linne, Hunter Prisk along with others aunts, uncles and cousins. Ethan was preceded in death by paternal great grandparents Robert & Rose Anderson, maternal great grandparents Lloyd Croshere, Robert Pittsley, & Elaine Pittsley and an aunt JoAnn Prisk.

A private funeral service will be held at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming with Rev. D. Michael Carriere officiating.

A potluck luncheon will be held at the Ely Township hall on Friday September 2, 2016 beginning at 5:00pm.

The family would like to say a special thank you to his doctors-nurses and all the wonderful teachers and aids at Aspen Ridge School where Ethan attended. He truly loved spending time with everyone of you.
