Obituary

Ishpeming Twp.-Esther Argall, age 92, formerly of 660 Cedar St., Ishpeming, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility.

Esther was born September 16, 1915 to the late Herman and Hilda (Haultunen) Maki in Ishpeming. Esther married Arnold (Husky) Argall on June 7, 1947, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1980. They enjoyed thirty-three years of marriage together. Esther graduated from Indianapolis High School, and later graduated from the Green Bay Business College. Esther proudly served her country in the United States Army. She was stationed in Des Moines, Iowa and Bakersfield, California. She also was a member of the VFW. For many years she was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was also active in the Salvation Army. Esther enjoyed dancing, playing cards, sewing, traveling, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a compassionate person and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Esther is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Anthony) Myers of Green Bay, WI; sister: Elaine Carlson of Ishpeming; two sister-in-laws: Frances Sironen and Marilyn Anderson; Grandchildren: Tera (Joel) Brennan and Joshua Myers of Green Bay, WI; 4 Great Grandchildren: Kaylyn, Kyle, Arianna, and Jacinda; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arnold; 3 brothers: William, Herman, and Martin, and 6 sisters: Aina Heino, Helga Schmeltz, Minnie St. Onge, Alice Jordan, Helen Michele, and Jenny Maki.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 12 noon at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Kenneth Lahners officiating. The family will greet friends and relatives from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 at the church.

Pallbearers will be:John Carlson, Norman Carlson, Peter Carlson, Ross Carlson, Anthony Myers, and Joshua Myers.

Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
