Republic- Estelle R. Martin, age 72 of 6835 Bengston Rd. Republic, passed away Friday, September 11, 2009 at her home under the care of her family and Lake Superior Hospice.

Estelle was born October 23, 1936 in Ishpeming to Russell C. & Lila S. (Johnson) Perry.
Estelle enjoyed knitting, crocheting, craft work, and playing cards. She also enjoyed researching family genealogy.

Estelle is survived by 4 children: Wanda (Stephen) Kratohwil, Allan Royce, David (Lisa) Royce and Daniel (Karen) Royce all of Republic, a sister Janet Loftus of Plainview, MN, grandchildren: Craig (Teresa) Royce, Stephen (Kelly) Kratohwil Jr., Matthew Royce, Ashley Royce and Joseph Royce, great grandchildren: Skyler Kratohwil and Hailey Kratohwil, step children: Robert Martin, Carey Martin, Susan Martin, Steve Martin, Denise Martin, step grandchildren: Tammy (Craig) Mattila, Michael (Michelle) Decker and Bobby (Kelly) Decker, step great grandchildren: Kyle Mattila, Vance Mattila, Samantha, Katie Decker and Kirstin Decker, a niece Susan (Scott) Saxton, a nephew Dean (Gayle) Bierbaum and great nieces Sara and Rachel, along with her life long friend Jane Danielson and many other friends.

Estelle was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband Luke G. Royce, 2nd husband Charles Martin, a daughter in law Diane (Olander) Royce and step daughter Allayne Martin.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the Republic Township Cemetery.
