Ishpeming- Ernest "Ernie" H. Snell, age 73, of 111 Bluff St. Apt 207, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2008.

Ernie was born in Ely Twp. on October 12, 1934, the son of the late Richard J. and Roseanne "Rose" (Larsh) Snell. He served in the U.S. Army as a PFC(T) during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1956 after three years of dedicated service to our country.

Ernie is survived by his significant other Emily Culp of Ishpeming, a son John Snell of Casper, Wyoming, and grandson Kevin Snell of Casper Wyoming along with numerous nieces and nephews. Ernie was preceded in death by his brothers: Richard and John Snell and his sisters: Mabel and Mary Jane all of Ishpeming.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Ishpeming Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Tooman officiating. The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 380 will be holding a flag presentation at the cemetery following the memorial service. The family wishes to invite all relatives and friends of Ernie's to attend.
