Ishpeming - Emily Millimaki, age 89, of Ishpeming, Michigan, died on April 12, 2010, at home in the loving care of her family and UP Home Health and Hospice.

Emily was born February 26, 1921, to Ivar and Alina Lehtinen in Perth, North Dakota. Emily graduated from Champion High School in 1939. She married Roy Millimaki in 1942. At the time of her death, they had been married 67 years. She was a longtime member of the Ishpeming Laestadian Lutheran Church.

Emily was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her husband Roy of Ishpeming, daughter, Connie (Robert) Snell of Anacortes, Wash., son,Terry (Sharon) Millimaki of Ishpeming; four grandchildren, several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 11 a. m. until noon on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at the Laestadian Lutheran Church in Ishpeming. The service will begin at noon with Thomas Prophet officiating. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the UP Home and Hospice or a charity of choice.
