Ishpeming- Elizabeth "Beth" S. Ramsey, age 89 longtime Ishpeming resident passed away Thursday, December 08, 2011 at her home while under the loving care of her family and UP Home Health & Hospice.

Elizabeth was born October 23, 1922 in Grand Rapids, MN to William & Clara (Sanford) Adamson. She graduated from Nashwauk High School in Minnesota. She moved to Ishpeming in 1964 where she has resided ever since.

Beth was a member of the United Evangelical Covenant Church where she was active in many church functions. She volunteered much of her time at the Salvation Army and for Meals on Wheels. Some of Beth's hobbies including playing bridge with 4 different bridge clubs, bowling, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, and rosemaling. She also enjoyed time spent at camp on Beaufort Lake, especially with the grandkids.

Beth is survived by 2 children: Jean (Gary) Guster of Three Lakes, & Ann (Raymond) Olds of Ishpeming, a son in law Richard Saari of Plano, TX, 8 grandchildren: Mary (Jim) Ross, Diane Baxter, Matthew (Karen) Saari, Brian (Dena Zeleznik) Ostermeyer, Bradley (Krysti) Ostermeyer, Sarah (Gabe) Ryan, Katie Olds and Russell (Katie) Olds, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ken, a daughter Karen Saari, four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services for Beth will be held at 11AM on Monday December 12 at the United Evangelical Covenant Church in Ishpeming with Rev. Karen Hinz officiating. Interment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, December 11 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home from 4:00-6:00PM and on Monday December 12 at the United Evangelical Covenant Church from 10:00am until the time service at 11:00AM.

Pallbearers will be Beth's grandchildren.

Memorial considerations may be directed to the United Evangelical Covenant Church or the Ishpeming Salvation Army in memory of Beth Ramsey.
