Ishpeming- Elizabeth Bengry, age 88 former Marquette resident and a resident of the Mather Nursing Center for the past 5 ½ years passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Marquette General Hospital.

Elizabeth was born August 4, 1923 in Ishpeming to Frank & Teresa (Tasson) Bertucci. Liz was a member of St John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming. She enjoyed traveling, spending time in the outdoors, and archery shooting. Liz loved her children.

Liz is survived by six children: Dolores (Leslie) Parr of Terre Haut, IN, April Gendron of St. Petersburg, FL, Elwood (Jeanie) Bengry of Green Bay, WI, Carl Bengry of Beaver Grove, Diane (Bret) Boillot of Mesa, AZ and Ramona (Michael) Worth of Summerville, SC, 3 sisters: Rose Armitage, Teresa Carriere and Mary Jane (Jim) Boles all of Ishpeming, 2 brothers: Francis (Martha) Bertucci of Ishpeming and Anthony Bertucci of Marquette, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carlton D. Bengry and a brother Dominic "Mickey" Bertucci.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:00pm on Tuesday January 3, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming with Fr. Greg Heikkala officiating.

A visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Tuesday from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm.

Interment will take place at Park Cemetery in Marquette.
