Ishpeming- Edwin Carlson, age 92 of 2013 Jackson Ave. Ishpeming passed away Sunday October 15, 2017 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming.

Edwin was born August 18, 1925 in Negaunee to Alex and Beda (Johnson) Carlson. Edwin worked for Cleveland Cliffs for 38 ½ years. He retired as a heavy equipment operator from the Tilden Mine in 1982.

Edwin belonged to the Tomahawk Bowman Club, and made his own arrows. He was an outstanding carpenter and wood worker. Edwin enjoyed hunting and fly fishing and the craft of tying his own flies. He was a donor to the Salvation Army for 40 years.

Edwin is survived by a son Daniel Carlson of Ishpeming, 4 grandchildren: Patrick Carlson, Amy Carlson, Andrea (Michael) Juchemich and Erin (Tyler) Gauthier, 12 great grandchildren: Tyler, Alyssa, Riley, Kacey, Cole, Alexis, and Deven Carlson, Eliana, Drew, and David Juchemich, Braxton and Giada Gauthier along with nieces and nephews. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, wife Theresa Carlson, a son David "D.J." Carlson, a sister Esther Ketola and brothers: Enoch and Everett Carlson.

Honoring Edwin's wishes there will be no public service.
