Caledonia, MI- Edward D. Robinson, age 78 of 7360 Patterson Ave. Caledonia, passed away Thursday, July 05, 2007 at the Bell Hospital in Ishpeming.
Edward was born November 5, 1928 in Champion Twp, to the late Walter & Hannah (Parkkila) Robinson. Edward lived in Marquette during his childhood and moved back to Champion where he graduated high school from in 1946. He attended Ferris State University where he received his bachelor degree.
Edward served in the United Stated Army during the Korean Conflict receiving his honorable discharge in 1953. He worked as an accountant for 34 years for Spartan Stores Inc where he retired from in 1992.
Edward was a member of the Lillian Larson American Legion Post #114 of Greenwood. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years and most recently enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida.
Edward is survived by his special friend Ilene Loveless of Caledonia, a sister in law Esther Robinson of Ishpeming, 3 nieces, a nephew and numerous cousins and friends. Edward was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ralph Robinson
Funeral services will be held 11:00a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Champion with Rev. Katherine Finegan officiating. Burial will be in the Champion Cemetery.
Friends may call Our Redeemer Lutheran Church on Saturday from 10:00a.m. until the time of service at 11:00a.m.
