Obituary

Republic – Edmond W. Verville, age 85, of 5115 Balsam Rd. Republic, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016 while a resident at the Oscar G. Johnson Medical Center in Iron Mountain.

Ed was born August 21, 1930 in Spurr Township the son of the late Louis and Wilma (Lapin) Verville. Ed served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was self-employed doing most of his business operating heavy equipment. Working was one thing Ed enjoyed most. Ed was a member of the 40 and 8 veterans group, as well as the American Legion.

Ed is survived by his significant other Patricia LaPin, 6 Children- Michael (Minda) Verville of the Philippines, Edmond (Pam) Verville of Kalamazoo, MI, Dennis (Vicki) Gravedoni of Lynn, MO, Patty (Larry) Annala of Ishpeming, Dana (Kay) Verville of Kalamazoo, MI, and Cathy Hartman of Pulaski, WI, 2 brothers- Louis Verville, and Ronald Verville, along with 16 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Wilma, and Mildred Dellis.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 am until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home. Pastor Lauri O. Maki from Bethel Lutheran Church will officiate.
