Ely Twp- Douglas K. Brown, age 57 of 33983 Co. Rd. 581 Ishpeming (Ely Twp), passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at his hunting camp.
Douglas was born August 31, 1952 in Chicago, IL to the late Kenneth & Patricia (Tregoning) Brown. Doug moved to the Ishpeming area in 1974 from Green Bay. Doug worked for 35 years at Bell Hospital Radiology Department, working as an x-ray technician and managing the Radiology Department for over 30 years. Doug enjoyed hunting, fishing and time at hunting camp with family and friends.
Doug is survived by his wife Jodie (Streckenbach) Brown, whom he married November 24, 1973, two children: Jason (Melissa) Brown of Ishpeming and Christina (Michael) Rymarcsuk of Green Bay, WI, five grandchildren: Mykenzie, Mykayla and Mykeira Brown, Michael and Kaitlyn Rymarcsuk, his mother in law Beverly Streckenbach along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Doug was preceded in death by his parents Ken and Pat Brown.
At Doug's request cremation will take place. A gathering for family and friends will take place on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Doug's home from 12:00noon-4:00pm.
