Ely Twp, MI- Dorothy C. Fegan, age 82, of 278 Co. Rd. CNA Champion, MI, died on, Tuesday, April 1st, at Marquette General Hospital, where she was admitted earlier that day.

Dorothy was born in Benson, Minnesota on March 23, 1932, the ninth of Chester and Sophia (Norderhus) Carters' eleven children.  She graduated from Glenwood High School in Minnesota and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN.

She was an Elementary School Teacher in Hibbing, MN and locally at Ely Elementary School in Diorite, Michigan.  Dorothy and her family have been residents of Marquette County since 1961.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, James Fegan, to whom she was married in Hibbing, Minnesota on April 5, 1958, She is survived by six children, John (Monique) Fegan of Ishpeming Twp; Noreen (Kurt) Spencer of Lebanon, TN; Nancy (David) Hull of Placerville, CA; Norma (Bill) Tibor of Marquette, MI; Timothy Fegan of Winona Lake, IN; Jennifer Fegan of Marquette, MI; eight grandchildren, two sisters, Mary (Thomas) McGuinness of Fairborn, OH and Ruth (Don) Stadsvold of Minneapolis, MN, and a brother Donald (Marlys) Carter of St. Cloud, MN along with nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers: Paul, Chester (Bud), Lloyd, John, Calvin, William, and Marvin.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am Friday April 4 ^th at the Wesley United Methodist Church, Ishpeming, MI, with Rev. Scott Lindenberg officiating.

Dorothy's family will greet relatives and friends on Friday at the church from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am.

A luncheon will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
