Obituary
Ishpeming – Donna E. Bergman, age 86, longtime Ishpeming resident passed away at 1:05am on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the Eastwood Nursing Center in Negaunee where she had resided since August of 2010.
Donna was born September 30, 1927 in Ishpeming the daughter of the late Francis R. and Elsie (Hebbard) Pascoe. She was a lifelong area resident having worked at the H.W. Gossard Co. and at Tino's in Ishpeming but spent the major portion of her life raising her family.
Donna enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren as they grew up. She was a Life member of the Ishpeming VFW auxiliary and was the Poppy Chairwoman, she was also a member of the AMVETS auxiliary and the TOPS club. Donna enjoyed playing cribbage, bowling, camping and traveling.
Survivors include 4 children – Russell (Peggy) Bergman of Negaunee, Raymond (Lois McIntyre) Bergman of Ishpeming, Marlene (Dale) Johnson of Negaunee and Karen (the late Carroll Jackson) Moore of Ishpeming, brother Milton Pascoe of Negaunee, 15 grandchildren – Nancy (Mike) Carr, Bradley (Nicole) Bergman, Ryan (Patrick) Bergman, Erik (Kelly) Bergman, Tammy (Tabor White) Bergman, Christina Bergman, Joseph (Amy) Boydstun, Dawn (Andrew) Evans, Brandin (Jennie) Johnson, Brenda Moore, Carrie (Dustin) Youtsey, David (Melissa) Neuffer, Gerald Cox, Amber (Justin) St. Antoine, and Chad Lindley, 26 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Reynold Bergman, her parents and a brother Ellsworth Pascoe and a grandson Adam Johnson.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 2:00-4:00pm on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming. A funeral service will follow at 4:00pm at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Mater to officiate. Interment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.
A luncheon will be held at the Mitchell United Methodist Church in Negaunee following the service.
Memorial considerations may be directed the the Activity Fund at the Eastwood Nursing Center in memory of Donna.
Donna's family would like to thank the entire staff at Eastwood Nursing Center for the care given to Donna while she was a resident there.
