COLUMBUS, PA- Dominic Andriacchi, age 52, of W. Main St., Columbus, PA., died on Sunday July 15, 2007 at the Corry Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Ishpeming, MI on November 14, 1954, a son of Francis P. "Frank" and Lillian H. (Corradina) Andriacchi of Ishpeming. Mr. Andriacchi was raised and educated in Ishpeming. He graduated from Ishpeming High School in 1972. He then went to Michigan Tech University and graduated with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering in 1976. He moved to Corry, P.A. in 1976 and began working for McInnes Steel Mfg. until 1996. He then went into sales for several years before starting his own business, Technical Forging Specialist. He traveled all over the world and was a highly respected metallurgist.
He was a member of the St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Corry, PA and a member of the St. Rocco's Italian Lodge in Michigan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles, golfing, snowmobiling and cooking.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Diane M. Holton Andriacchi whom he married on July 10, 1982 in Corry, PA. He is also survived by a daughter, Sara Andriacchi; a son, Adam Andriacchi both of Columbus, PA; a sister, Cathy (Scott) Smith of Ishpeming; and a brother Peter (Debbie) Andriacchi of Manasquan, N.J. along with several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, August 6, 2007 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming at 4:00p.m. with Fr. Greg Heikkala officiating.
A reception will be held at the Venice Supper Club following the service.
