Ishpeming- Dina B. Comment, age 86 longtime Ishpeming resident passed away at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming on Sunday, October 30, 2016.

Dina was born June 13, 1930 in Zocca, Italy to Emilio & Emma (Mezzadre) Bedini. She grew up in northern Italy. In 1954 she moved to Geneva, Switzerland to become a nanny. This is where she met the love of her life. Adrien and her were married on May 5, 1955 in Geneva. After they were married they moved to the United States. While living in Washington DC she worked as a nanny for John F. Kennedy, while Adrien was a chef for the Kennedy's. Adrien and Dina worked for many prominent families across the United States. She and her husband moved to Ishpeming in 1966 where she resided for the last 50 years. . Dina worked as a chef at the Cliffs Cottage (CCI) from 1966 until her retirement in 1992. She continued working even after her retirement helping her daughter to continue the traditions her and Adrien had established at the Cottage.

Dina was a former member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and St. Joseph Catholic Church. She also belonged to , Paisano Club, the Red Hat Society and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lions Club. Dina was a remarkable chef. Her meals were enjoyed by many. She prided herself in making every family gathering and holiday special for her family and friends. She loved spending time with all of her grandchildren. She had an infectious smile and a warm giving heart. She will truly be missed by everyone.

Dina is survived by 2 children: Roger (Kelly) Comment and E.J. (Steve) Kutchie both of Ishpeming, 2 sisters: Maria & Martha, 2 brothers Orfeo and Demero of Italy, 5 grandchildren: Peter (Kaylee) Comment, Christopher (Penny) Comment, Nicholas Comment, Brooke Kutchie and Walker Kutchie, great grandchildren: Jaren & Jayce Kipling, Journey Comment, Mackenzie Beck, Makalynn Comment and Kingsley Comment, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Italy. Dina was preceded in death by her parents, husband Adrien Comment and a brother Romano.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Marquette County Medical Facility for their wonderful, compassionate care of their mother and nana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00 PM on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming with the Rev. Monsignor Peter Oberto officiating.

Dina's family will greet relatives and friends at St. Johns Catholic church on Thursday from 2:00-4:00pm. A luncheon will be held following the service at K/D Hall.
