Marquette, MI – Dennis J. (Zeker) Ziech, age 80, longtime Marquette resident passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday December 24, 2024, at Lakeland Regional Hospital in Florida.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Pat (O'Connell) and his special family members in Ohio, sister-in-law Lorri, nephews David Ziech, Tracy (Lori) Ziech and their sons Nick, Daniel, and Michael. He also leaves behind cousins and his cherished cat Baxter.

He was preceeded in death by his parents Joseph and Janette Ziech and his brother David.

Dennis was born in Waukesha, WI on April 13, 1944 and graduated from Waukesha High School. Dennis started working for Wisconsin Bearing during the summers while attending college at the University of Oshkosh. After graduating, he continued working for Wisconsin Bearing until he retired in 1999 as District Manager.  In retirement, he and Pat spent their winters in Florida.

Dennis was a member of Wawonowin Country Club since 1972 and formerly served on the board of directors. He enjoyed the time he spent playing golf and cribbage with his buddies.  He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and season ticket holder and never missed watching a game. He also followed the Brewers, Bucks, and the Miami Hurricanes. Throughout his lifetime he made so many special friends - way too many to mention. You know who you are. He was one of the kindest and caring persons and will be forever missed by all that knew him.

Per Dennis' wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
