Ishpeming- Dennis J. Desilets, age 65, Ishpeming resident, and former longtime Escanaba resident, passed away on Tuesday October 11, 2022 at UP Health System Marquette in the loving care of his family, and hospital staff following a lengthy battle with several illnesses.

Dennis was born in Escanaba on May 13, 1957, son of the late Benjamin and Ann (Smith) Desilets. He grew up in the Escanaba area graduating from Escanaba High School with the class of 1975. Following graduation Dennis went on to receive his Bachelor's degree and began his career as an automotive mechanic.

Dennis was a member of the CrossBridge Church in Ishpeming where he and his wife were married 9 years ago. He loved to hunt, fish, build model cars, work on cars, and spend time with his grandchildren.

Dennis is survived by his wife- Billie Jo (Meek) Desilets, 2 children- Christina Ann Marie Adley, Ashlee Stewart, 3 step-children- Timothy Meek, Jessica Meek, Michael Underwood, 3 siblings- Ernie (Dawn) Desilets, Henrietta "Penny" Flath, Donna (Leonard) Smith, several grandchildren, and great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother- Allan Boye.

Dennis' family will greet relatives and friends at the CrossBridge Church in Ishpeming on Sunday October 23, 2022 from 12:00 noon until 1:00pm. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm with Rev. Kevin McIlhany officiating. A potluck luncheon will follow.
