Ishpeming- Delores J. Thomas, age 83, longtime area resident, passed away on Thursday August 6, 2026 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility.

Delores was born in Ishpeming on June 10, 1943, daughter of the late Franc and Saimi (Lyyski) Linna. She worked as a Nurses Aid for many years at the Mather Nursing Center, maintenance at the Empire Mine, and at Circle K when she lived in Texas.

Delores enjoyed gardening, fishing, and lending a hand to others whenever needed.

Delores is survived by her 4 children: Kathi Yelle-Leaf, Alan Yelle, Rena Yelle, and Leon Yelle, brother: Kenneth (Donna) Linna, sister: Sandy (Rick) Travis, along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Arlene Honkala, and husband: Dub Thomas.

A graveside service will be held for Delores on Thursday August 13, 2026 at the Republic Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
