ISHPEMING, MI – Delores "Lory" Mary DeVold (Deschaine), age 77, of Ishpeming, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.

Delores "Lory" was born on July 17, 1948, the daughter of Paul and Merle Deschaine (Rickard). Lory was a proud graduate of Negaunee High School and received her bachelor's degree from Northern Michigan University. She was a kind and loving woman who enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and dogs, including her current dog, Cuddles. She also enjoyed traveling on many memorable trips with her family, including a trip to India with her daughter, Sara.

Lory was the beloved wife of Allen DeVold, mother of Sara (Jim) Maher and the late Pamela Cato. Grandmother of Shayne and Tyler Thomas. Sister of Diane (Richard) Winger and Denise (Scott) Barrett. Aunt to Cindy Winger and Brian Barrett.

A memorial service will be held at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., with a short service at noon. Interment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery next summer.
