Obituary
Republic- Delbert N. Turner, age 78, Republic resident; passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Eastwood Nursing Center in Negaunee.
Delbert was born January 21, 1937 in Redford, MI to Bert & Nellie (LeBlanc) Turner. Delbert worked for General Motors for 30 years, he retired as an assembly line inspector for the Cadillac Motor Division. After retiring from General Motors in 1985 he moved to Republic where he and his wife Loraine made their retirement home.
Delbert was an avid outdoors man: he enjoyed bear & deer hunting, fishing and cutting firewood. He also enjoyed bowling.
Delbert is survived by his wife of 55 years Loraine (Gale) Turner, 3 children: Gordie (Josie) Turner of Redford Twp, MI, Gary (Pam) Turner of Macomb Twp, MI and Glen (Tracey) Turner of Davisburg, MI, & 4 grandchildren: Hillary, Alex, Madeline and Emma Turner. Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert and 2 sisters; Joyce Ramrez and Alice Yaramus.
A memorial service for Delbert will be held at a later date in Lower Michigan.
