Ishpeming – Debra L. VanHorn, age 63, of 713 Vine St. #6 and former Palmer resident past away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Marquette Co. Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming where she had resided since this past December.

Debbie was born January 6, 1954 in Ishpeming the daughter of the late Lowell and Patricia (Emanuelson) Liquia.  She was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School.  Debbie had worked for the Upper Peninsula Home Health and Hospice as a nurses aide.  Debbie had developed emphysema and had struggled with breathing issues the past several years.  She enjoyed passing her time doing puzzles but was happiest when taking care of her husband, children and especially her grandchildren.

Debbie is survived by her husband of nearly 32 years Darrell VanHorn of Ishpeming, daughter Mary (Patrick) Bridges and son Darrell Gene (Paige) VanHorn both of Escanaba, 2 sisters – Pam (Jack) Juntila of Champion and Laurie (David) DeRoche of Ishpeming, brother Lowell (Jan) Liquia of Champion, 8 grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private family graveside services will be held at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
