Negaunee- Debra L. Dobson, Our Sparkly Princess, age 56, lifelong area resident, passed away on Sunday April 2, 2023 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility while in the loving care of her family, UP Home Health and Hospice, and nursing home staff.

Debra was born on January 16, 1967 in Marquette, daughter of William "Ray" Dobson, and the late Elizabeth "Bette" (Blackhall) Dobson. She grew up in Negaunee and graduated from Negaunee High School class of 1985. Following graduation she went on to attend Northern Michigan University where she earned her certificate in cosmetology.

Debbie loved live music, and was active in the Marquette music scene. She loved to cook, always making meals for people and entertaining, and was affectionately known as the favorite aunt to her several cherished nieces and nephews.

Debbie is survived by her father- William "Ray" (Rita) Dobson, sister- Sara (Johnny) Kero, step-siblings- Sandy Langsford, Alan (Cecelia) Reichel, Ray (Rene) Reichel, Rita (Reino) Laitinen, Joey (Joanne) Perrault, nieces and nephews- Tia Dobson of Orlando, FL, Roland Mota of West Allis, WI, and River Mota of Marquette. She was preceded in death by her mother- Elizabeth "Bette" Dobson, step-mother- Shirley Dobson, and her grandparents.

Following Debbie's wishes, cremation will take place with a celebration of life to follow at a later date.
