Ishpeming- David A. Vaughan, age 70, longtime area resident, passed away at his home on Tuesday December 19, 2023.

David was born on April 11, 1953 in Detroit, MI, son of the late Henry and Margaret (Anderson) Vaughan. He grew up in Grosse Point Park and graduated high school in 1971. Following graduation he attended college before owning and operating the Country Market Store in National Mine.

David loved biking, skiing, swimming, reading books, doing karate, tai chi, being in the great outdoors, stargazing, and spending time with his grandkids who were David's life.

David is survived by 3 children- Madalynn Vaughan, David Vaughan, Angela (Dameyell) Vaughan, longtime partner- Colleen Vaughan, 2 sisters- Wendy Margaret Vaughan Brickman, Victoria Vaughan Bush, 10 grandchildren- Jolena, William, Tysaak, Ahlyana, Davey James, Lucy, Albert, Stiles, Dallas, Dakota, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother- Terry Vaughan, and daughter- Natalie Vaughan.

Following David's wishes, cremation will take place with no public services scheduled at this time.
