Ishpeming- David A. Patron, age 57, of Ishpeming passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018 at U.P. Health System Marquette while in the loving care of his family.

David was born in Milwaukee, WI on September 3, 1960 to the late Peter Patron and Sharon (Joki) Patron. He was a graduate of Ishpeming High School Class of 1979. David served the country in the United States Coast Guard in 1980. He then went to Northern Michigan University and obtained his Associate's Degree in Wastewater Management. He moved downstate to Clio, Michigan and worked for Genesee County's waste water department for several years before returning back to the UP.

David was a member of the Old Fashioned Baptist Church in Ishpeming. He enjoyed going to the movie theater, listening to music, was an avid Big Foot hunter, and was very strong in his faith with God being the leader of his life. David provided lots of love and support for his mother. He loved to cook and try new recipes, especially Italian food such as pizza, cudighi and lasagna. David will be remembered as having a big heart and was a happy go lucky, easy-going kind of guy. He loved to socialized and enjoyed having coffee at McDonalds with his friends.

David is survived by his mother- Sharon Patron of Ishpeming, siblings- Julie Dobson of Marquette, Glenn Patron of Ishpeming, Steven Patron of Marquette, Kristine (Jim) Hamm of Tavares, FL, Karen (Earl) Stephens of Ishpeming, Peter (Amy) Kangas of Solon Springs, WI, half sister Ruth Ann (Jason) Weyer of North Dakota, nieces and nephews- Daniel, Shannon, Ryan, Brianna, Sara, Saya, great-nephew- Isaiah, great-niece- Isabella, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his father Peter Patron, along with numerous aunts and uncles.

David's family will greet relatives and friends from 3:00pm – 4:00pm on Tuesday February 13, 2018 at the Old Fashioned Baptist Church in Ishpeming. A memorial service will follow at 4:00pm with Rev. Robert Kemp officiating. A luncheon will follow in the church hall. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
