Ishpeming- David Scott Bess, Jr, age 35, passed away on Wednesday January 20, 2021.

David was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on April 5, 1985, a son of Rosemarie Ruth (Warner) and the late David Scott Bess.

David graduated from Westwood High School, Class of 2003, attended Lansing Community College and Northern Michigan University where he received a degree in construction management.

David was currently working as a carpenter for O'Boyle and Company, and previously worked for the Stonehouse, CR Meyer, and was a partner with the former Five Guys Construction.  He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 1510 Marquette.

David was an avid softball player, playing in local slow-pitch and fastpitch leagues, as well as playing in many tournaments locally and in Wisconsin.  He also played in city league basketball.

David is survived by his mother Rosemarie Bess of Republic, 2 daughters: Olivia Celine Fetterhoff and Hadley Rose Bess, a brother Bobby (Janelle) Bess of Comstock Park, MI, and a nephew Crosby Bess, along with several cousins and friends.  David was preceded in death by his father David Bess, Grandparents; Violet and Gardner Bess, Patricia Fase, and Robert Warner, an aunt Patty Bess, and an uncle Gardner Bess.

Services will be private for family.

A memorial softball tournament will be held in the summer of 2021 in David's memory.
