Ely Twp.- David Marc Hebein, age 78, lifelong area resident, passed away on Thursday August 7, 2025 at UP Health System Bell while in the loving care of his family, and hospital staff.

David was the eldest son of Peg and Jerry Hebein. He is survived by his wife of nearly 52 years- Gail (Pajula) Hebein, his daughter- Lindy Butler and her children- Sophie and Marcus, daughter- Jill Ellis and her husband Ryan, and their daughters- Maggie and Sarah. Also surviving are two brothers- Mike and Paul Hebein.

David was preceded in death by his parents Peg and Jer and his nephew- Craig.

Memorial donations may be made to U.P. Home Health and Hospice and the Trillium House in memory of David.

Following David's wishes, cremation will take place with no formal services.
